What to do when you're scared, worried or nervous

Today I read an article about “What to do when you’re scared, worried or nervous”. 


What to do:

Nervous or scared

If you’re nervous take a deep breath and count to five. This will help you calm down. Think of something that will distract you from being nervous or such as: thinking about the forest or you looking up at the sky, the clouds. Close your eyes and imagine your in a forest, you hear birds tweeting, leaves rustling. Focus on what’s happening now. Not what will happen tomorrow.  



Worried

Talk to someone you trust and talk about how you feel. If you can and want to, try do meditation. Close your eyes, inhale and exhale, hear and imagine. 

     


Relax

You need to relax. Relax you muscles, relax your whole body. 

If you don’t know:

  • Breath and count to five. Breathing is one of the best exercise to do.

  • Write down your thoughts in a book. If you can, buy a diary write about how you feel.

  • Connect to nature. Go for a nature walk, look and hear.

  • Write down what you’re grateful for. 


I hope this will help you when you are scared, worried or nervous. Do mindfulness.
