Three facts I found interesting about ANZAC.

Today I read 21 facts obout ANZAC, here are three things I found intresting

1. The wearing of rosemary on ANZAC Day is done as a mark of respect for the men who never returned from Gallipoli, or indeed, later wars. The wearing of it honours the memory of those brave men.

I never knew that rosemary is also wore on ANZAC day but from reading this fact I learnt that rosemary is a mark of respect who never returned. Now I know why some people wear rosemary on ANZAC day.

2. The original Anzac biscuit was known as an Anzac wafer or tile and was part of the rations given to the ANZAC soldiers during World War I. They were included instead of bread because they had a much longer shelf life.

When I read this fact I was suprised that this ANZAC wafer has much longer shelf life.

3. The Gallipoli Peninsula is very near the famous ancient city of Troy.
